Make Heaven crowded. This is a popular saying for shirts, stickers, bumper stickers, etc. I love the meaning behind it. In fact, I’ve almost purchased a shirt with this exact saying. Today, however, I heard a song and it made me really think about this statement. Are we doing our part to invite people to Heaven?
What I mean by this is are we showing people Jesus? Do we show them how to get to Heaven? We wear the shirts, we have the stickers that say “Make Heaven Crowded,” but then we go out and don’t treat them like Jesus died for them too. It’s easy for us to hold a grudge or find a way to get revenge, instead of loving them like Jesus commands us to love. Is that how we want to portray Jesus to people? Is this how we make Heaven crowded?
Life is stressful and life is hard. People are mean and sometimes downright rude, but sometimes those people are just doing the best that they can. If we truly want to make Heaven crowded we have to start with ourselves, and show them who Jesus is through us.
“For Heaven’s Sake” by Leanna Crawford is the song that inspired this post. I have posted it below. Give it a listen and let’s love like Jesus for Heaven’s sake!
